As part of Crescenta Valley Water District’s (CVWD) strategic plan to increase Customer Awareness, Improve Service Offerings, and prioritize Emergency Preparedness, CVWD will use Everbridge.
The Everbridge emergency notification system allows CVWD to instantly send critical messages to residents and businesses across multiple communication devices, including cell phones, home phones, email, text messaging, fax, and more. To ensure that individuals receive time-sensitive, life-saving emergency information from the District residents, you must sign up and register your contact information.

This project will be delivered using a Progressive Design Build approach, a two-stage contracting method the District has chosen for the Project’s design and construction. Stage 1 consists of contracting the PDB Team for a fixed price to complete 60%-90% complete design and other preconstruction activities, including regular cost estimating. At the completion of Stage 1, the District and PDB Team negotiate a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), which is the maximum price for which the PDB team agrees to complete the project’s defined scope. Stage 2 begins with a contract amendment covering the completion of the project design and construction for no more than the GMP. In October 2025, the Board approved a Progressive Design Build Contract to Sukut/West Coast Civil to accomplish the work.

Crescenta Valley Water District (CVWD) will be rehabilitating Well 5 as part of its FY 25/26 Capital Improvement Projects. Subsurface Technologies was awarded the projects in October 2025 and will conduct routine maintenance at the site starting in December 2025. The routine maintenance will enhance each well’s functionality by restoring lost pumping capacity due to natural clogging of well screens over time. By improving the wells, the District can continue to supply the community with safe and reliable drinking water. Water service has been restored to the 2600-2700 block of Honolulu Ave. and the 3700 blocks of La Crescenta Ave. We recommend turning on your faucets slowly, as air and pipeline debris may be trapped in the water line after recharging the water main in the street. Any air and/or discoloration should dissipate quickly, and water service should be restored to normal. It is also suggested that you consult the User’s Manual for any appliances connected to your plumbing system (i.e., water softeners, boilers, water heaters, etc.) to ensure proper use after the water is back in service.
